Synopsis
The Garvey sisters are bound together by the death of their parents and a promise to always protect each other. Sharon Horgan (Eva) is the sister of former Irish rugby player Shane Horgan. Eve Hewson (Becka) is the daughter of U2’s Bono.

Brian Gleeson (Thomas) is the son of actor Brendan Gleeson and brother of actor Domhnall Gleeson. Bad Sisters is brilliantly executed in every detail, starting with a great script. But it’s also technically brilliant, with a great soundtrack and cinematography, combined with really good locations.
So we all end up in conflict – brilliant!
The ensemble is amazing, clearly having a great time with their material and providing plenty of laughs, but still able to muster the necessary pathos that is essential in a show like this. Bad Sisters is a true black comedy in every sense of the word – but a likeable one – with a rich vein of Irish humour that bubbles to the surface and makes us invested in the fates of the Sisters. So even when the girls are up to no good, there is always the question – ”but are they really?” – because we identify with their situation and the judgements they make.
I’m rooting for Sisters!
If you are a sensitive man, i.e. you don’t like it when the worst of male behaviour is brought to light and punished accordingly, … then you really need to watch this show and desensitise yourself, it will do you good and give you some perspective on how everyone else is left behind by selfish male rudeness.
